A Bead In Time - Officially Released Today!

I am very excited to share with all of you that my new book, A Bead in Time, has officially been released today, and it's giveaway time! :)

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your kindness and support every day. It means so much to me. I find that daily blogging about beads, jewelry and other jewelry designers/bloggers has become a very inexpensive form of therapy!! :) I don't think I could or would want to miss a day of hanging out with you, sharing stories and pretty, sparkly things.

Over the years I have often caught the entrepreneurial bug, but it wasn't until the idea for this book struck me, that I took action. That makes me think it was just meant to be!! It was definitely a "reese cup" moment, but instead of chocolate and peanut butter it was vacation pictures and beads!

Every day I am learning something new about being a book author. It has just occurred to me that this isn't just something that happens and then goes away. This book will be a part of me forever and might just continue to be printed in future additions. :) I'm so glad you are here and sharing this experience with me.

And now, with all that said, I would like to announce my first BOOK GIVEAWAY!! Actually, since "trios" have been a theme this week, I thought I would start out by giving away 3 books on this blog post.

Just leave a comment and a week from Saturday I will announce three random winners.

In the mean time, I'm not sure how you really thank people who have written wonderful and kind reviews of your book and sound sincere while doing it!...I think it must be like receiving your child's first Kindergarten report card. You want to know, but you have to close one eye for the first read just in case!

Thanks a million to Margot Potter, "The Impatient Crafter", who posted a review on her blog yesterday. Seriously, when I saw my name pop up on her post, I think my heart might have skipped a beat!! Gosh, this is a dream come true!! :)

THANK YOU!

I just found your blog several days ago and are already a big fan! Checking almost every hour if there is an update ;). I think the blog is just so lovely designed and written and I am in love with your sweet jewellery pieces. Congratulations on your book! How great is that! What a nice inspiration! I just started with the beading and are already so in love with it. To write a own book is quite a cool thing!
I am living in the north of Sweden and there is no better hobby for the very COLD and DARK and LONG winter than beading :)

Brilliant news. Although it will probably be a while before we get it down here, but that makes it something to look forward to. Well done,it must be an amazing feeling to have published a book that I'm guessing was also a labour of love.

Congratulations on the book, from what I have heard it is a big chore even after you write it when it comes to having a book published.

I echo your thoughts on blogging; it just is so soothing to organize my thoughts on a subject to put them down on the blog, as well as to reading the thoughts of so many others.

Best wishes on the book sales, but I hope I am one of the lucky ones to win one!

Congratulations Lisa!!! What a wonderful accomplishment! We are all so happy for you:)

Being an author is a wonderful experience. I authored a bead book, too, but chose to self publish - so it isn't something that can be found in stores. In hindsight, I wish I would have gone through the process of finding a publisher. Congrats on having yours 'out there'! Can't wait to see it on the bookshelves.

Congratulations! Writing a book is such an accomplishment. I agree with Onye - you are now immortalized in print. It is on of the things I have on my own "bucket list."

I enjoy your blog and marvel at the fact you do it daily. I found it a few months ago. Plus, you can link out to everyone else's blog.

I really enjoy your blog and read it daily. You inspire me to not be afraid to use "craft stores" as my main supplier for beads. I love it when you say you got some absolutely beautiful bead at Michael's, JoAnn's, or Hobby Lobby. If your book is anywhere near as inspiring as your blog then you've penned an instant hit. I look forward to reading it. One more thing, if there's a Dee's Crafts anywhere near you, go check it out. The one by us is totally awesome!!

Enjoy the day!

Found your blog via Margot Potter's. Looking forward to looking at your book. I enjoy your blogs use of everyday beads that can be easily found out in the market place. I get tired of seeing designs that can't possibly be used for inspiration because of all the custom materials.
