I just popped over to the Beadwright's blog, a.k.a. Nicole Campanella, to check out her book giveaway and noticed these ultra cool beads scrolling by in her Etsy shop.
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen these beads before, they are labeled "Bead Spikes Green" and the description reads:
"Here are some vibrant green spike beads in acrylic. They are awesome!!!! Perfect for light weight earrings and seed bead embellishments. These are two inches with a great stringing hole."
I'd love to hear your thoughts about these. I agree with Nicole, they would make great earrings with a little sparkliness added in. I also think they could be used in an interesting Halloweeny way! I like scariness incorporated when you least expect it...in a slightly creepy way.
Cool or creepy, either way, they caught my attention!

huh..I was thinking christmasy lol Do a bit of a fringe on a choker with some of these... mix them with some red and a bit of gold... lol
If she has light blue or white they'd make great 'icicles' :)
Not creepy at all. They look great!
Aahhhh thank you for featuring me on your blog. Yes these spike beads have so many possibilities. Then in this months Marie Claire magazine there is a necklace with pink spike beads.
I like Skye's icicle approach.
You made my day thanks again.

I thought of putting peyote around the top and down a little then making them fringe on a necklace or making earring out of them. They're great!
Okay Skye, you are right, there might be some holiday, evergreen goodness in these, I didn't see that before! Love the icicle AND fringe ideas. You guys are good! :)
The color is so cool, a light greenish touch.
