Book Giveaway in Memory of...Page 89!

I just paid tribute to one of my furry children on Tuesday and thought it would be really nice to do a book giveaway in memory of my sweet Comet who is featured on page 89 of my book (along with his bichon "brother", Rudy).

I can't tell you how much everyone's comments have meant to me, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

It helps so much to have support and love from people who have been through the same situation.

I am now very excited to try making a bracelet using this adorable doggie bead and appreciate everyone's ideas!

If you are interested in a copy of my beading inspiration book, A Bead in Time, that happens to feature a photo on page 89 of both my doggie children, please leave a comment on this post.

I will be using random.org to select a winner next Saturday!

Thank you all!! :)

Lisa, I'm so sorry about Comet. I just read about your Tuesday story. I truly believe that every time we rescue an animal, it was really us who were rescued. We have so much love to give and don't realize it until a furry critter comes into our lives and says "look at me, I'll love you always no matter how grumpy you get or how sick you are or how bad your hair looks". You have been truly blessed to have had Comet in your life. I have a cat (my 4th one from a shelter). This one is going to be 20 in October so I know his time left with me is precious. He can no longer hear so I do hand signals with him and he understands it's either time to eat or take a nap.

I already have your book so if I do win it, I'm going to gift it to a deserving friend.

Look up at night. There will be a star that shines brighter than the others. It will be Comet watching you.

I sure understand you loss. My companion dog brings me so much joy. Plus I'm almost never alone, because he goes everywhere with me. I suffer from panic attacks and with him at my side I can go anywhere! I have always had a dog in my life, previously all poodles. I like dogs more than I like most people.

Oh Lisa...I'm still thinking about my SkyeBlue & FalaPink who both loved me so much. You know I still haven't been able to finish the memory book or box I wanted to make with their collars/tags/fur & Skye's tooth.

I'd love to see the piece for Comet when you are done. We really do need to met & have a play day.

Lisa, So sorry for your loss of Comet. I have two furry ones and believe they have actually saved my life by being in it. I also believe in Rainbow Bridge where it is said our fur friends wait for us to cross over to the next world together with them. What a wonderful and comforting thought.
Please put my name in the pot for the book. I love beading books. Pat

I love my little four legged babies so much, I don't know what I will do when they are not there anymore - they are my children!
I am new to bead-work. I fact a friend gave me my first lessons yesterday and since then I haven't been able to stop. I can see that it will be a very addicting hobby! Since I am so new, I would love to have your book (if open to international entries).

I don't think I've read your book yet but it looks intriging. Sorry about comet. Animals keep you sane when everything else is crazy.
