Featured Designer: Be-Jeweled by Jana, Wire Crochet!

Friday, yay! I am so glad it's time to share a new jewelry designer with you!!

This week's featured designer is from "Be-jeweled by Jana". I was so excited to come across this blog because I felt the same way when I learned wire crochet!! I was completely hooked! It's been a while since I have done a wire crochet piece, but every time I look at this blog, it makes me want to get the crochet hook out!!

I had a kindred-spirit-moment when I saw this wire crochet design entitled, "70's Style". The peace sign was the perfect touch. I also loved the fact the beads were purchased at a garage sale, a great example of bead recycling!

I have included a couple of the designer's other pieces so anyone who has not attempted wire crochet can see the different variations that can be made.

The best part of bead crochet for me is loading ALL the beads on the wire first. As you need the beads, you just pull them up the wire and crochet them in...VERY COOL!!

Have a great and crafty weekend! If you try any bead crochet, I hope you will let me and Jana know.

I've just started experimenting with wire crochet. All I've made so far is a little flower (which I posted at one of my blogs a while back). I'm not 'hooked' yet, but then I need more practice. lol

I've given up on wire knitting for sure.
