Featured Designer: Lori of "Out of the Flames"

Happy Friday!!

This week's featured designer is Lori of "Out of the Flames, Glass Art & Beadwork".

I envy artists who are so multi-talented!!!

On Lori's blog and more than 1 etsy site, you will find beaded dog collars, spiral rope bracelets, polymer buttons, fused glass pendants AND cross-stitch patterns turned into beaded artwork!

WOW! I was amazed at the fact Lori recycles "float glass" and works it into glass cabochons! So creative!!

Lori, one day I hope to be on your level!!

Thanks for letting me share!

Lori is one of my dearest friends. We have known each other for many years. Please go to her blog to read her story about her hand and then you will be even more excited and impressed with Lori as a person as well as an artist.
I am so glad you featured Lori on your blog.

Great feature on Lori, Lisa! By recycled 'float' glass, are you talking about Fishing Float Glass? That is very interesting! Love your work and your story Lori. Very inspiring!

Good question Cindy, I'll have to put a shout out to Lori and find out. :)

Cindy,
Float Glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin. This gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Most household windows are made from float glass. Also glass in frames etc...Typically the glass you can find at your local window glass shop...Its starting to come out in a variety of colors as well...
