Solar System Jewelry

I just came across these beads, nicely organized in one of my bead containers. They originally came from Michael's as part of a strand of multi-colored ceramic beads.

Don't these look like they could be used in a model of the solar system to represent the various planets. How about solar system jewelry!?

Since I am fully obsessed right now with our upcoming RV trip, now I think I need to add the telescope to the list of the 100+ things already on it. I know this isn't about beads, but I'd love to hear any seasoned RV'ers thoughts on this.

We have never camped in any way, shape or form, so I'm pretty much thinking we need to bring everything but the kitchen sink!

I don't want to regret not bringing it since we can only use it at home during winter months when the leaves are down since we have so many trees in the back yard.

Please also let me know your thoughts on a planetary bracelet...doesn't that sound fun!?

I used to backpack a long, long time ago. So I got used to packing light--because you had to pack everything in and be able to pack out again, including garbage.

Camping was different too--depending on where you are going. Expect the worst weather. LOL That's the only advice I can give.

Never used an RV but my family had a camping pop-up trailer at one time. However, it came with the kitchen sink! LOL

Well, I've never used an RV, but we used to have a pop-up pull behind camper when I was a kid. We loved it.

Cathryn's right...always expect the worst weather!!

Love the beads by the way...they are totally beautiful.

Great beads, solar system jewelry sounds perfect!

I've never used an RV, I've camped in a tent & a small trailer as well. The RV'S look great, all the comforts of home!!! My daughter & her husband are renting one for a trip out east in a week or so but I never thought to ask her what is included...

Cheers

I only want to contribute the advice that if you bring warm clothing for cool evenings you can always take it off but if you get cold and have nothing to put on there isn't anything you can do. I'm pretty sure I could have expressed that a little better but I'm sure you understand.

I made a Saturn bead a couple years ago from metal clay and keep thinking I need to get back to space themes - the ceramic beads look good for that! I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

Hey Lisa! Those do look like planets! When my daughter and I did the solar system in jewelry for her 3rd grade science project we did go shopping at Michael's and found all of our supplies there. We were amazed at what we found that looked like the satellite photos of each planet.
You can read about it on my blog post from February here: http://treasures-found.blogspot.com/2010/01/inspired-bysolar-system.html

Enjoy the day!
