Saving Beads for Just the Right Moment!

While out to dinner with a group of people to celebrate the retirement of a dear friend and co-worker, talk briefly turned to
beads.

One of the individuals mentioned that she had brought me back these beads from her vacation to Sedona, Arizona last year. She also mentioned she had never seen a jewelry project materialize with them!!

Interestingly, it didn't bring me to be defensive or make excuses. I actually had a thought in that moment that the right beads will be there when you need them, but that means they might have to hang out with you for a while until that moment arrives.

Age is a funny thing, it does tend to bring realizations like this, which is a GOOD thing! I get so excited and feel that there must be some kind of good karma happening when I get a design idea and I know immediately that I have the right bead and know right where it is! Sometimes the beads are fairly new and sometimes, it might be a bead I've had for years.

I'm not sure my answer went over all that well, but to me it was meaningful! I have evolved! :)

I'd love to hear if you have had similar moments of the "right beads at the right time"!

I also wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow is the 1 day only BLOGMANIA event!! I will be giving away a copy of my book along with a grab bag of miscellaneous beads. You will just need to leave a comment on tomorrow's post for a chance to win!

Additionally, I will have a number of links to other blogs who are also giving something away. There are over 100 blogs participating. I can't wait to see all the possible loot!

See you tomorrow!!

Sure I had this moments! I'm a beader and why on earth should I keep this huge bead stash, if there isn't sometimes the right bead to find in it? Even if it is only this special color of seedbeads.
Last year I won a BEAUTIFUL set of rose opal in a give-away and I guess many people long to see a project with them, but it didn't come yet. And I won't waste these stones in a five-minute-design, just to use them.

Hello. My name is Erin and I am a bead hoarder. But I am really just waiting for the Universe to catch up to me and know that I will have the perfect bead at the right time. Or else there is always Etsy.
;-)
Enjoy the day.

Hey Lisa, looks like your blogmania post is going over awesome! So glad you are participating. I'm not going to comment, because I want others to have a chance to win your awesome book too. :)

I love the picture of these beads. I too have to wait for the inspiration to show itself. I just had someone ask me this week where I get my ideas from... and the answer is everywhere. They just come to me! ;)

Have a great Blogmania!

Gold parties held in peoples homes usually pay the host a commission, on the total sales of the party. The payout at gold parties may be less than a jeweler or metals refiner may offer.
