Clear, Sparkly Dagger-like Beads

I visited a local beadshop recently, Ally Beads, and found a great clear, dagger-like strand of crystally clear glass.

They are rounded on the ends and slightly different lengths and widths.

When I saw them, I kept wrapping the long 16 inch strand around my wrist, putting it back and then coming back to it.

I usually take that as a sign... I was very intrigued by them!

I have actually loaded a good bit of them onto some bracelet memory wire to see what they would look like. I think they look pretty cool, but I need to figure out why they were calling out to me!

I will have to work on that!! In the mean time, aren't they GREAT!?

By the way, for any central Ohio locals, I will be hanging out at Ally Beads on Saturday, 2/20/10 to introduce my book and talk about my book publishing experience, etc. Stop by if you get a chance! I'm hoping to have time to play with some beads too! Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday! :)

AND, speaking of the book, I want to thank Mortira of Inspirational Beading and Tammy Powley of About.com for taking the time to read and post such wonderful reviews. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

Have a great evening!

Congrats on the book Lisa! Glad that you bought the lovely beads.... I find that when that happens to me and I don't listen to what my instinct is telling me- I regret it! Can't wait to see what you do with them!

I love these crystals. They remind me of a chandelier story. I bought and redid a chandelier for my mother's living room and gave it to her. I had removed most of the crystals because I thought they looked too "gaudy".

She found out that I still had the left over ones and asked me for a few because she thought I had missed rehanging them in a couple of places. So I just gave her the box, thinking that she'd need to go through it to find the right sizes.

The next time I went to her home, she had put every last one of them on while standing on a step ladder. When you turn on this chandelier, you need to wear sunglasses, but she doesn't care. She loves all the bling.

So much for my plans of making something out of the leftover crystals, but who cares, she is happy!

Enjoy your crystals. They are grand!

I like your style of selecting beads at the store. Once you get "attached" you must have them. Keep creating...
