Tiny Beads...Big Fun!

It looks like I am having a mini-fixation on yellow this week! Hmm, could be the fact we had another full day of snow!

It was very pretty watching it from the 22nd floor of my building as it covered everything in sight!

These are the tiniest of tiny yellowy-orange beads that have a matte finish. I am guessing they are about 5mm, but flat as little pancakes!

The one hole at the top of the disc provides so many opportunities for FUN! They can be used as tiny dangles or bunched together they will fan out in different directions creating a festive vibe!

How fun would these be combined with black cording or wire? Like tiny little smiley faces!! I'm afraid I would be tempted to add little dots for eyes and a nice big smile!! :)

What do you think?

I sick of the snow to. I posted a bright necklace on my blog with yellow and a bee. It was uplifting to look at something with sunshine. These beads remind me of a vintage strand I have. I want to use them but have not brought myself to take them apart yet. I hope your book is doing well. Check out my blog. I am letting my book sit for a while and thinking about some different approaches.

i remember my mom had a bracelet FULL of these back in the 70's. It was 'clacky' when she moved her hand and so bright. she wore it with a matching yellow top and white pants. i can't beleive the memories that just came flooding back!

A fun and lovely color! Especially since it's been so grey outside!

That is crazy about the snow you guys are getting. We're not getting any. Only snowed once this year here in Vancouver and everything is starting to bloom. Weirdest year ever! The Olympics start this week and we are desperate for snow at one of the venues. Had to Helicopter it in from higher up the mountain! We could have used you guys' snow this time around.

Lisa, I just got your beautiful book in the mail today! I will go through it and post a review as soon as I can. Will let you know when I do.

Take care and don't worry, the snow will eventually go away! :-)
