Oh, how I wish spring would arrive early... Just in case it isn't going to happen in the next few weeks, I selected the bright yellow dandelion project to show you here.
It had just turned to spring when I was working on projects for the book. In my neighborhood you MIGHT see an occassional dandelion, but most people prefer not to have them.
I am a real pushover for the underdog in any situation and was determined to find a yard full of them to photograph. After driving around town, I discovered that a local school yard was covered in them!
Most projects in the book have the inspiration photo I used to create each piece. So, here is the "ode to the dandelion" project. I had never worked with these brooch forms before and it was lots of fun!

Congratulations on the new book and the book signing. Where is the book signing? I get so nervous when I do a book siging. They end up being so much fun and you will meet lots of great people. Where is your book sold?
