Colorful Cloisonne

Today's bead is a smart, colorful cloisonne bead with bright red, gold, black and green! Awesome!!

Cloisonne beads are created by affixing a metal wire to the base bead to act as a color seperater. A powdered colored glass enamel is then painted between the partitions. After a firing and polishing process, the bead is electroplated in a gold or silver film and there you have it!

GORGEOUSNESS!

I love the idea of a using lots of GOLD beads and possibly even crimp a few of these beads along a gold beading cord or wire that will show its goldness. Mmm.... Sounds very nice and calming!
