Happy Group of Beads

Is it just me, or is this a happy looking bunch of beads? They are from the Snowflake Design Challenge I'm working on.

Honestly, when I looked at them framed in the photo, I heard these lyrics in my head (no joke): "sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy".

What is that about? All I can think of is maybe the round metal link said "sun" to my brain and the other tiny little round beads seem cheerful....you got me, I don't judge it, I just appreciate it and share with unsuspecting passers-by.

So, isn't this a happy looking bunch of beads?

....."Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry..." :)

Have a great week!

They are very cheerful looking beads and you've gotta love it when random John Denver songs pop into your head!!

Can't wait to see what you make with these beads. When you group them like that they look like little snowflakes. I found the circle a little challenging. One of my goals this year is to experiment and become more comfortable with items I don't use all the time. Also saw your comment on my blog. I love to find people that are close to home. I'm right up the road in Dublin. What type of jewelry making do you do? What is your favorite bead shop in Columbus?

You're right Lacey! Love it when I get those random happy songs!

Hi Linda! You are right about experimenting and participating in challenges is a great way to push yourself out of your comfort zone!

I wish there was a bead store around the corner! I was a fan of Ally beads and Byzantium, but both of them have closed up shop. How about you?

I like both of those stores but didn't get to Ally's very often because of the distance. I visit 1 Stop in Dublin and Pink Flamingo in Powell most often but occasionally I trek out to Gahanna to go to the Gahanna Bead shop. I love Kazuri beads and for awhile they were the only shop that carried them. How long have you been jewelry making? I see that you have a book, I will need to pick up a copy and check it out. I just started blogging and find it difficult to get out there. Not quite sure how you get people following you.. I love reading other people's blog but find that when it comes time to write myself that what I have to say seems boring. How do you get into writing on a daily basis without becoming redundant?

Linda, you really should pick up her book. It's a great creative resource!!

Aw, thanks Lacey! :) You are so sweet!

I love the Pink Flamingo shop!

Good question about blogging. I have discovered that once you just be yourself, whether you think it's boring or otherwise, it will be fun and you won't want to miss it. For me, it rounds out my day and helps to make sure I take time for creative thoughts every day. The friendships I have developed are truly a joy and something I never expected! :)
