Peace at the Circus

There is something special about creating a piece of jewelry that is different than anything you've ever done before.

HOWEVER, with that said, I don't usually enjoy creating the exact same thing twice or having to take it apart to resize or fix a boo-boo.

I would rather just leave it alone, whether that is wearable or not. Am I crazy? I've just decided that I must feel that way in order to honor "original creative thought". It's not as special the second time around for me. Maybe I've grown and know myself much better than I used to. The positive side to aging! :)

This piece definitely falls into that "original" category. While the word on the silver component reads "peace", it seems to have a circus-y vibe that makes me laugh!

I hope you are all having a great, creative weekend making lots of original and maybe even crazy things that make you smile!!

I totally agree with you about letting pieces be sometimes. Oftentimes that pair of earrings that I thought were a hot mess but made anyone are the ones that people are drawn too. Though I see the circus-y vibe in your peace bracelet, the white beads are very much like white doves of peace.

That is a really fun piece I love the colors

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - one person's mess is another's idea of perfect !!

On the other hand, one of the great things about making jewellery is that if the finished item looks absolutley awful, you can take it apart and re-use the beads for some other project. All you've lost is your time (and possibly a bit of wire). Unlike knitting - my former pastime - I have a cupboard full of half-finished, never sewn-together jumpers made of expensive yarn, sitting there and haunting me. I just know I will never have the time and inclination to unravel the yarn and start again !!

I like it, the colors are bright and sunny. It says to me may your days be happy and with peace.

Oh, I hate resizing pieces! It seems that resizing things disturbs my creative flow or original idea, although I sometimes have to do it due to customer service.

I thought I was the only one that had "odd" feelings about having to re-do or fix something. I'm really glad I'm not alone...

When you say circus... I think of sweet, fluffy circus peanuts. LOL Now I know you're laughing, but you never know where inspiration is going to come from, right? Love it!
