Blue or Sky Blue?

What exactly is "sky blue"?

I have noticed some gorgeous colors in the fall sky lately including many variations of the color blue! The color of these crystals are close to the color I think of when I hear "sky blue".

I wonder if there is an "official" sky blue color. Who would be considered the "color" guru? How do we know we aren't all seeing slightly different versions of colors through each pair of eyes?

As I was on the way home this evening, a GREAT song was on the radio that I need to remember to put on my MP3 player, it was "I can see clearly now the rain is gone"! It really stuck in my head and when the part about seeing blue skies everywhere, I could actually see it in my mind even though in reality, it was getting dark already!

Here are the lyrics (what a perfect song for anyone looking for clarity or enlightenment)...

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way...Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind....It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day. ...I think I can make it now, the pain is gone...All of the bad feelings have disappeared...Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin for...It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin but blue skies...Look straight ahead, nothin but blue skies.....I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way...Gone are the dark clouds that had me blindIt’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day.

Ahh, moments like this are great reminders that Life is Good!
