I also thought it would be fun to play with at our quarterly craft night events as sort of an extra craft or free-for-all.
Well, in all honesty, I have only made one project that was a success. It was for a family member and painted in school colors with the initials of the school. Very simple, but fun for sporting events.
I started on another bracelet during a craft night by decopauging halloween images from decorative napkins. It was a cool idea in theory, but...
These are very cool looking bracelets just as they are and maybe I need to get one of those crystal setting tools to add a little sparkle. What do you think?

Remember wood burning kits? :-) That's the first thing I thought of - doing some kind of stencil design and varnishing...I know, I'm weird.
I do think adding crystals would be fun, also you could test your painting skills with some serious abstract or impressionist work, that might be rather interesting...
I also think think they are great just as they are...but that doesn't help much does it...:0)
Cheers
I have 2 Walnut Hollow wood burning kits Dawno, and that's what I thought of for these as well! They are fab as is though, I agree with Azure Islands. I could get $10 each at the flea market! (Seriously) Thanks for the post!
You have a treasure trove. Many wonderful possibilities. You could even take one apart and use the components in a necklace, could see that wooden diamond decoupaged, painted or whatever and used as a focal point...or as a dangle on an earring. Just let your imagination take you where it will and have fun !
WOW! I LOVE all these ideas! I think wood burning would be great fun and might need to get one of those!! It would be cool to wood burn a frame and then do a painting inside, too cool!! Thanks so much!!
You could make beautiful necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets with them. Add some semiprecious beads to them. Sometimes I do this and believe me when I'm finish with the designs my customers compliments me about them. And they do sell.
