Swarovski Love...Prisms!

Question: Is it wrong to use prisms in jewelry pieces?

Answer: Not as long as they are swarovski crystal prisms!!

How would you like to wear this 38mm crystal around with you all day? Mmmm, sounds like a great idea to me!

After posting the 40mm Swarovski Sun prism on Monday that I used in a necklace design a while back, it dawned on me that maybe they aren't supposed to be used in jewelry. Then I got my wits about me and started searching for MORE prisms!

Here are a couple of great links in case you are interested. Just imagine the fabulously large and sparkly jewelry you can make with these! Check them out here: Rings-Things and the Sundrop Crystal Giftshop.

The above prism is the 38mm Aspen Swarovski Crystal!

Please remember to COMMENT HERE TO WIN a mystery swarovski crystal!

I use vintage chandelier crystals in my jewelry all the time. In fact, I think we've shared blog space about them in the past! I will blog about them today in case you want to 're-share'.

Excellent post however , I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Thank you!

I have a piece I wear all the time that uses a 40mm prism. I love it and would not hesitate to use prisms in my pieces.

The bigger the better. :)
There is something about Swarovski crystals that is unlike any other manmade crystal on the market. I once made a few bracelets using their 4 mm bicone crystals and though I had several compliments on them at my show, no one wanted to buy them. I finally told a lady that was admiring the bracelets, that she really needed to take a bracelet out into the sunshine to understand the full beauty of the Swarovski crystals. As soon as she step out of the shade of my booth and the sunlight caught the crystals in that bracelet her eyes lit up and she broke into the biggest smile and said; "WOW" She bought not only that bracelet but another one like it in a different color crystal.
It's all in the sparkle. :D
