It's Time for Daisies!

I am so excited to share a new batch of beads with you this week from Artbeads.com. Today's bead is the Gold Plated Peridot Filigree Daisy.

If you were wondering about the size, it is a substantial 19.5mm, I mean, WOW!!

The gold with the peridot is such a beautiful color combination and seeing the swarovski sparkle just holding it in my hand is like therapy in itself. That's some seriously sweet bling!

I love flower shapes and the fact that the first day of spring is less than a week away also makes me so happy!

I don't want to give away my design plan too much because, yes, I'm going to stretch this out all week. It is just too much fun this way!

I'd love to hear your reaction to these fabulous blingy flowers if you have a second.

It is one thing to see these in the online catalog, but another thing altogether to have them right here with such clarity and sparkle...yum!

It is quite possible that I have a swarovski crystal beads obsession, but I'm okay with that!

I can't wait to see what you make with these! I have a BUNCH of filigree swarovski flowers that I got on fusionbeads on clearance but I'm not sure what I want to do with them. I made an anklet but it's kinda uncomfortable to wear.

My reaction? Can I have them, pleaaaaase? No, just kidding! ;-)Those look extremely exciting and springy. And what is better for expecting spring than to make a flower design.
Do they have holes or how can you string them?

So pretty Lisa...what about one as a focal for a bracelet, or three as a semi-choker necklace...now that would be feeling like spring!!!

Cheers

Those are very pretty! I looked them up on the Artbeads site, and I could see a hole in the back, but not where it came out. It would be good to have the "hole" information!

Who doesn't covet those sparkly crystals from time to time?!?!?!?

I'd like to see what you create out of those sparkly flowers! Can I get a witness...? Flowers and Crystals are a woman's best combination?!?!?!

AMEN!

Ooo so pretty! My birthstone is Peridot so I have a love of it already. These daisies are so airy and pretty, I can't wait to see what you create with them!

So pretty. Daisies are my favorite flower (one of my dogs is Daisy). I love the peridot. Reminds me of my mom, it was her birthstone. I have to say, I have been loving your book. It is so special. I've savored every design. I follow with pictures once I have actually finished someting, LOL.

Hi there! I wanted to mention there is no hole that actually goes through the component. It is a piece that can be wired or connected through the outer gold "petals". The back of this piece is nice and smooth. I will show you the back of the bead in Tuesday's post. Thanks for asking! (and, thank you so much Elizabeth, you are so sweet!)

OOOHHH!!! I saw instructions for a pretty earring design in one of the recent magazines... I can't remember which one... BUT they used these flowers! In GARNET. Also very pretty.

I used to hate peridot and thought myself very unlucky to have such a weird green as my birthstone. BUT I love it now. I think my mom buying me peridot pieces was kinda like her buying me clothes. I just hated whatever she got me :P
