Pieces & Parts

For those of you who stopped by yesterday's post, here are the contents of the box!

I discovered a necklace kit by the Simplicity company at Tuesday Morning over the weekend and was fascinated by it. I have a thing for gems that look like they could be in a treasure chest or Jewel Quest video game!

So, back to the picture. Do not adjust your colors, it is blue as blue is blue! Very cobalt! I can't imagine making something like this for myself, but I think it would be very fun to cover completely in jewels and treasures as a gift for someone who loves bling!

I also think it would make a great gift for someone who likes to craft or is learning how to sew.

Either way, it's now up for grabs, so leave a comment on any post the last few days and you will be in the running!

Lisa, I love the cobalt! My sisters favorite color is cobalt. There's something mystical, magical and enchanting about such a regal color!

How cool is that? Looks like it would make a great necklace with all that bling and some nice bead embroidery. And I love blue. :-)

I really like the blue. After assembly it might be a bit much, but I think the darker colored "gems" will help tone it down some. I may have to visit the Simplicity site and see what all kinds of goodies they've got. My little sister likes to craft so this would be right up her alley.

I think something like this would be cool. I would love to do something like it if they had the instructions.

Oh, the colour is gorgeous - I am curious how would you embroider the beads in... Maybe you will post a picture when it's done :) Now you made me curious - off to Simplicity site to check them.
Thanks for sharing!
