"Iron-on a Smile" Bracelet

Are these just too cute?!

I bought a package of smiley iron-ons when I was working on my book.

I seem to be drawn to things that aren't necessarily intended for jewelry making, but I know they will allow me to express myself in a piece of jewelry.

I did a project in the book using a cute, square iron-on, the "rock star" bracelet, so I have never used these.

I pulled them out a couple weeks ago and thought about incorporating them into a journal project I'm working on, but really want to WEAR one of these! I like them both, so we'll see what happens!

I'd love to hear about your experiences with using materials in your jewelry projects that weren't intended for that purpose!!

So, please share if you have a minute! :)

I haven't yet, but fully intend too! I'm going to hit the summer flea markets with a new "eyeball" this summer! I love the little smileys, they seem perfect for you!

Well, I just bought some guitar picks to make earrings and pendants out of. I'm not sure how I'm going to work the pendant, I want something other than just the pick hanging off of a jump ring. I'll figure it out eventually!!

I am going to work on some buttons I have found in my knitting drawer. I think I am going to make something with them. Will let yoiu know.

Lisa, yesterday I went to Jo Ann and was going through several beading books. There I met your book. I got to get that book.

Haven't tried fabrics yet but have used old pieces of salvaged treasures such as broken earrings or unusual bits like cute zipper tabs. Love using pretty buttons as clasps.

The happy faces are adorable, I think whichever one you choose will be a winner.
