Magnets in Bracelets?

I wanted to ask if anyone has ever bought and worn magnetic bracelets. I have seen a number of advertisements for them that claim to be a cure-all for everything under the sun!

The advertisement I just saw online reminded me of the old Andy Griffith show when the "medicine man" comes through town selling the magical elixir of youth to Aunt Bea!

I'd LOVE to hear of anyone's experiences with magnets in jewelry.....PLEASE SHARE!! :)

Hi the only thing I use with magnets is the magnetic clasps. But this may have some possibilities.

I only use magnetic clasps, that's all.

I have used a magnetic clasp on a bracelet for a friend who had a slight case of arthritis in her hand and I made it a strong clasp as I did not want her to loose the bracelet. She would often tell me of all the metal she attracted while wearing her bracelet! I cannot imagine more than a magnetic clasp on a bracelet, one would gain more pounds...

I once bought a magnetic bracelet while traveling in the UK. It was supposed to cure my ills. I wore it for several weeks, and got the worst rash ever on my wrist. It took another couple of weeks to get rid of the rash. I cannot recommend them, but perhaps they work for someone else. I do design and make bracelets with magnetic clasps, with no negative effects on myself however.

Magnetic bracelets have been the hot request from me lately. I never felt the need - but may not have the medical conditions for it that others do. I try to keep a few elastic band simple ones on hand (they don't like them too chunky or fancy). MY problem with them at the bead shop is THEFT. The magnetic beads AND the bracelets disappear faster than any other item in the shop. Go figure.

Oh, and people who wear them that work in offices should keep in mind that if you work around METAL filing cabinets alot - you are liable to lose your bracelet to the drawer....

I use magnetic clasps - older folks or those with arthritis really appreciate it. I would avoid using magnets in jewelry if the wearer has a pacemaker.

I have worn a magnet "cuff" that I got from Walmart for a few years now. I definately saw an improvement in wrist pain while wearing it. But it is not a bracelet - it's a velcro closed cuff.
