3mm Crystals

I've never had a GROSS of 3mm multi colored bicone crystals before, I feel very fortunate!! They are TINY and adorable!

I am back to designing with my new Katiedid components and since I'm going to line the channel with multicolored crystal bicones, it would make sense to somehow incorporate some of these adorable and subtle baby bicones.

I'd love to hear if you have used 3mm crystals in your designs especially if you consider them a staple.

I could see how that could happen and you could put some of these in EVERYTHING you make for extra color and sparkle!

By the way, don't forget to stop by yesterday's post for a chance to win a copy of my beading book! :)

I haven't actually used them yet but just bought some for a piece in Marcia DeCoster's book.

I have also just discovered 2mm round crystals... OMG how adorable are they? I have just ordered more and can't wait to use them... they are so teeny tiny and sparkly!

I've used 3mm bicones in a few pieces, one of Marcia DeCoster's designs and some of my free form pieces. They really give a lot for their size. You get lots of sparkle for such a small bead! In free form they fill in areas that need something but nothing big.
Enjoy using them. They look beautiful spilling over in the photo!

I have a lot of crystals in various shapes and sizes but I don't consider them a staple for the star in a design. They are supporting cast members. I like to intersperse them with pearls or contrast a cluster of them with an antique hardware find. These small ones would work well that way. I should seek out these Katiedids I keep hearing about. Sound fun!
Enjoy the day!

I have used the 3mm and 2mm crystal in several of my pieces. I think some crystals in a piece just adds that extra sparkle. I can not wait to see how your piece turns out.

I love the little crystals, they are lightweight and add sparkle to any design. I use them mainly as spacers between larger beads. By the way, I got your book and enjoy it very much. I did not post yesterday, as I figured I will give others a chance to win a copy. Have a great weekend.
