Joyful Beads!

I've been using these "inspiration sliders" that I mentioned a few weeks ago in bracelets for friends.

The other two I made and didn't take a picture of were using "peace" and " faith". Both of those turned out quite unusual and quirky. It has to do with the double strand holes on these sliders and the fact I used memory wire with sort of chunky beads.

For tonight's bracelet, "Joy", I thought about the person I was making it for and while I wanted it to be a little quirky, I also wanted it to be made with things I know she likes. She likes sparkle and stones as well as kitty cats. I pulled out some of the stones that made me think of her and hid a little kitty cat head in the front dangle.

I was thinking about the kind of beads that give me Joy or make me feel happy and went through several bead containers to gather those beads. Here they are, in all their silly, kitschy glory! My favorite beads that give me joy!!

I hope you are all having a great week!

i love the bracelet - is it on elastic?

now what you should do (listen to me telling you what to do) all your wonderful little beads that make you happy put them all into one piece, a charm bracelet or necklace, something that you can have them all in the same place, that would be glorious!

I love that bracelet, but what really caught my attention were your joyful beads. They are, indeed, a mixed lot, but that's what brings joy. . .all that diversity.

Hi there! Just wanted to respond to Tish that I used one strand of memory wire on this bracelet. The other two I made, I used 2 strands of memory wire and colorful rubber tubing on one of the strands, fun and quirky! The cool thing about these sliders is you could run wire or elastic through the two holes at each end of the slider instead of running anything through the holes in the slider. :)

Love the bracelet...I kind of like Tish's idea...I think they might make a funky charm bracelet.

Cheers
